Hi, I’m Paul Dixon and I want to share with you my journey of faith in coming to know and involve God in my life.
I had Christian parents who took me to Sunday School where I really enjoyed the Bible stories of the many heroes and villains, but at that time God was just ‘somewhere up there’ and remote from me.
I grew up in a secular culture, there were challenges to believing the Bible to which I was always interested to investigate.
Later at a young people’s weekend away I suddenly came to realise that God was real and that I was accountable to him and that’s scary. It was then that I started to understand the Good News that Jesus Christ came to pay the ultimate price for my forgiveness by his death on a cross, and that he rose again from the dead – amazing!
Today for me the whole reason for life is to get to know God more, no longer is he remote, but his presence is always with me and only a prayer away. So it is very important to me to involve God in all aspects of my life.
Trusting and believing in what Jesus has done for me answers life’s perplexing questions and gives assurance of life after this life.
