“Jesus showed up. Heavenly Father scooped me up and totally redeemed me in every possible way.”
Having gone to church every week of my life it would surprise most people to know that I never actually had a real understanding of what it meant to give my life to Jesus. In 1988 during a Nicky Cruz international tour, I was moved by the Holy Spirit to answer an altar call, it was an emotional evening and hearing the story of how a one-time gang leader came to know Jesus as his Saviour gave me that real understanding I needed.
After several years of doing what I thought was required as a Christian I started following my own path and not the one that Jesus had set aside for me. My path was not a happy path and after a failed marriage and losing my job I became depressed and very lonely.
After not attending church for several years, I started to listen to podcasts which opened my heart to hearing God speak to me.
One evening I knelt down and prayed that instead of me following my own path I wanted to follow the path God had for me. I felt as if a heavy weight had been lifted from me and my life started to change in so many ways, I don’t have the space to share.
Now, ten years after that life changing prayer I have an amazing family, a successful career and a supportive second family at the chapel in Billesdon. I want to help people understand what a personal relationship with Jesus is and share what it means to me. We’re not here to judge but to love as Jesus loves us. At Billesdon Chapel Centre we will help you experience that love and share that love with you.
